A Programme Manager at The Cadillac Formula 1® team plays a pivotal leadership role within the Programme Office, overseeing the portfolio of development activities across launch cars, in-season development and off-cycle programmes. Operating at the centre of a fast-paced and performance-driven environment, they are responsible for ensuring that the right projects are selected, prioritised and delivered in line with strategic objectives, budget constraints and competitive ambition. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, they work cross-functionally to maximise performance return on investment while continuously improving the systems and processes that underpin delivery.

·       Own and manage the portfolio of development projects across all car programmes, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest performance-value opportunities

·       Drive a disciplined project selection framework, ensuring only initiatives with the strongest performance-to-cost potential are approved and progressed

·       Define and maintain high-level programme budgets, holding accountability for financial adherence and proactive cost control

·       Drive trade-off decisions across competing projects to maximise overall programme performance

·       Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies where forecasted costs, timing or scope threaten programme objectives

·       Provide clear, structured reporting on programme status, budget position, risks and delivery performance to senior leadership

·       Establish and track project lifecycle performance metrics (e.g. design time, lead time, cost and delivery efficiency) to identify baseline capability and areas for improvement

·       Propose and lead cost reduction and time-saving initiatives to enhance organisational efficiency and accelerate performance delivery to the car

Driven by high performance
What do you need to bring to the team?

·       Proven programme or portfolio management experience within a high-performance, fast-paced engineering environment (prior Formula 1® experience highly desirable)

·       Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to optimise performance return on constrained budgets

·       Experience with structured decision processes, governance or stage-gate frameworks; familiarity with quantitative project valuation methodologies would be advantageous

·       A continuous improvement mindset, with a keen eye for process optimisation, efficiency gains and data-driven performance enhancement

·       Confident and composed communicator, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively at all levels of the organisation

·       Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively and maintain clarity under pressure

·       A calm, measured approach in high-stakes situations, with strong decision-making capability
