For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team, our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.
Job Description
Laser Etcher – Powertrains (Standard Days)
Join the Quality Assurance team at Red Bull Powertrains and work at the cutting edge of precision engineering in Formula One. Here, you’ll be surrounded by state‑of‑the‑art metrology technology and play a key role in ensuring every component meets the exacting standards needed to power our engine.
If you’ve got a sharp eye, love precision and want to be part of the team powering Red Bull’s Formula One success, this could be your perfect entry point. As a Laser Etcher within our Quality Assurance team, you’ll play a hands‑on role in making sure every component is marked accurately, clearly and exactly to Red Bull Powertrains standards.
You’ll be working with real F1 parts every day, checking technical drawings, laser‑etching components to exact specifications and making sure everything is perfectly placed, legible and ready for use. Your work directly supports multiple teams across Powertrains, giving you the chance to collaborate with a wide range of people and see how your contribution fits into the bigger picture.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong attention to detail, reliability and a positive, team‑focused attitude. You’ll be working closely with other departments, so clear communication and a willingness to learn are key. Experience with basic metrology tools, like micrometers, verniers, callipers or height gauges is a must but what matters most is your mindset, your accuracy and your drive to be part of something fast‑paced and world‑class.
If you’re looking for a way into Formula One where your precision really matters, this is a great place to start.
Note: This role will be working full time, Monday to Friday 0830-1730 with ad hoc overtime
At Red Bull Powertrains, we push the limits, fight for every victory, and get things done with relentless focus. Joining us means being part of a high-performance team that thrives on collaboration, trust, and ambition. We celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and take our work seriously—but not ourselves. Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy:
