We are seeking a dedicated Machine Shop Team Leader for the Weekend Shift to lead and support our machining operations during critical weekend periods. This role is essential to ensuring continuous, high-quality production of precision components in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

  • Lead and supervise the machine shop team during weekend shifts, ensuring production targets are met with quality and efficiency
  • Coordinate scheduling and workflow to optimize machine utilization and output
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any operational issues promptly
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support weekend operations and address urgent machining requirements
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records for weekend activities

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Proven experience in CNC machining and working knowledge of machine shop operations
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or motorsport environment
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, HyperMill would be an advantage
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively during weekend shifts
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
  • Good understanding of health and safety protocols within a machine shop setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts and flexible hours as required
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative team player
