The Manager, Marketing Operations is responsible for scaling and operationalizing multi-channel marketing campaigns, enabling data-driven engagement strategies that acquire, retain, and grow NASCAR’s fan base. This individual will serve as a technical marketing expert, driving best practices in campaign execution, orchestration, and optimization across lifecycle marketing and CRM initiatives. The Manager will partner closely with business stakeholders and campaign strategists to bring marketing programs to life, supporting initiatives that drive ticket sales, increase digital product engagement, and boost race tune-in.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing, Media, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to develop campaigns that support ticket and merchandise sales and demand generation initiatives.
- Partner with campaign strategists to build, manage, and scale multi-channel customer journeys within Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Ensure best practices in lifecycle campaign orchestration, including journey logic, decisioning, personalization, and testing frameworks. Support optimization efforts through QA, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support audience strategy for email, push, SMS, and paid media campaigns by defining segmentation approaches aligned to business goals and fan lifecycle stages.
- Build and manage target audiences within Adobe, leveraging behavioral, transactional, and demographic data.
- Assist with the team’s marketing analytics efforts, including identifying performance trends and utilizing A/B and multivariate testing methods to optimize audience, content, frequency, and timing strategy.
- Define CRM campaign strategies and manage lead collection and distribution for campaigns executed by NASCAR’s Sales Academy team.
- Stay current on Adobe Journey Optimizer capabilities and recommend enhancements to improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Maintain documentation and governance of campaign workflows, audience builds, and operational processes to support training and scalability.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, including ensuring full data integrity and monitoring transaction activity.
- Understand regulatory requirements in multiple states, and abide by those regulations that govern email, SMS, and direct mail campaigns. Work with privacy team to ensure audience creation and deployment is aligned with internal policies and controls.
- Travel: Approximately 10%, including select weekends and events.
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in direct-to-consumer lifecycle and/or digital channel marketing operations and analytics.
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience with analytics and marketing automation tools, with Adobe suite experience (Journey Optimizer, Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics) preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required, with an ability to earn trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to successfully test and ensure marketing campaign integrity prior to launching.
- Strong working knowledge of B2C email and SMS best practices and lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Ability to analyze the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing channels, contextualize results against broader business performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using SQL to perform data joins, aggregations, and subqueries for business operations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with an ability to present concise and clear information on lifecycle campaign performance.
