Job Description

The Role

At GM Motorsports, we are driven by a clear purpose: to accelerate our teams’ ability to win on the racetrack and in the marketplace. Our vision is to be the benchmark of global motorsports excellence, inspiring enduring passion for our brands and products through world-class performance, innovation, and teamwork. We are looking for people who share our mindset and core values — ownership in organizational success, a commitment to add value to our team, and the courage to reject mediocrity in pursuit of exceptional results.

The Motorsports Operations & Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in supporting program execution through a combination of procurement support, ERP (JobBOSS²) system ownership, and cross-functional operational problem solving.

This position goes beyond transactional support by identifying gaps in workflows, resolving operational inefficiencies, and improving data integrity across procurement, inventory, and shop floor systems. The role partners closely with engineering, supply chain, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams to proactively address issues that impact material flow, cost, and program timing.

This is a high-visibility role with exposure to motorsports program execution and opportunities to lead continuous improvement initiatives across supplier management, logistics, and inventory processes.

What You’ll Do

Procurement & Supplier Operations

  • Support purchase order and requisition activities, ensuring alignment with program timing and requirements

  • Monitor supplier performance (delivery, responsiveness, data accuracy) and proactively identify risks or disruptions

  • Resolve procurement-related issues (delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, incomplete data) through structured problem-solving

  • Support sourcing activities by coordinating quotes, benchmarking inputs, and maintaining supplier documentation

ERP (JobBOSS²) Ownership & Data Integrity

  • Own daily operational execution within JobBOSS², ensuring accurate job setup, material tracking, and system updates

  • Identify and resolve data integrity issues across jobs, BOMs, inventory, and supplier records

  • Analyze system usage patterns and recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and usability

  • Act as a first-line problem solver for system-related issues impacting shop floor and business operations

Inventory, Logistics & Material Flow

  • Analyze inventory trends, material availability, and transaction accuracy to identify discrepancies and risks

  • Support cycle count programs and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy

  • Coordinate material movement and staging to ensure alignment with production schedules

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in material flow across internal operations and supplier network

Supplier Quality & Operational Problem Solving

  • Support supplier quality processes including issue tracking, documentation, and corrective action follow-ups

  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to address supplier-related non-conformances and process gaps

  • Investigate root causes of recurring issues across procurement, inventory, or logistics workflows

  • Apply structured problem-solving (e.g., 5 Whys, A3 thinking) to drive sustainable solutions

Continuous Improvement & Ad Hoc Projects

  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives to improve procurement workflows, ERP utilization, and operational execution

  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce variability, and improve data-driven decision making

  • Contribute to digital transformation efforts (e.g., traceability, QR workflows, reporting enhancements)

  • Take ownership of special projects supporting program execution, cost management, and operational efficiency

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or ERP support

  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with engineering, quality, or shop operations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret operational data

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in motorsports, low-volume manufacturing, or high-performance engineering environments

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (JobBOSS², SAP, or equivalent)

  • Understanding of inventory control, supplier management, and procurement processes

  • Experience supporting or leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Exposure to structured problem-solving methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, A3, root cause analysis)
